Idle Hands and the Return of the King

Well I already missed a day… :-\ I could probably come up with a really good excuse as to why I didn’t take a picture on Sunday but that would defeat the purpose of this blog, so I’ll just say I slakced off (what makes it worse is I could have taken a photo on my iPhone and uploaded with the handy WordPress App). On a higher note my sand filled* D3 has returned from Nikon service good as new with only an “A Service”, talk about solid weather sealing.
*My D3, 24-70 and 200-400VR were subject to a monster sand storm in the Gobi Desert on my recent trip. The 200-400VR and now D3 have been return safely and required only an “A Service” (general check and clean); however the 24-70 has been rated “C Service” and the results are pending

Didn’t say anything about yesterdays (missing) pic, but glad to see you picked yourself up and dusted yourself off to post a very moving photo… for you it’s like a picture of one of your children (if you had any). Welcome home D3!
